The engine supports it, but in my opinion, the shader that implements it is still just in the development stage. It works, but has significant problems and limitations.
Not a bug with the engine at all. But the set of nice shaders Conitec plans to offer that developers can modify to suit their needs isn't out yet (but it does have a "high" priority on the forecast list) So unless you're a hotshot shader programmer, you're at the mercy of whatever's offered up on the boards--and the Normal Mapping shader that's been generously offered so far just isn't very robust yet. http://www.conitecserver.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=403149&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=3&vc=1
Thx for the quick replies. It's nice to hear that A6 supports normal mapping. I am graduating from college in the Winter with a degree in 3d animation and am plaining on going into game design. I've used this engine in the past and forgot how good the user community was. I'd like to do my own thing so I'll be makeing prototype games with this engine to approch publishers with. Again thanks for the responses, I'll be here alot more in the near future.
