I see that many beta testers are running Z1, with probably very wrong expectations, as there seems to be some surprise why you aren't rich yet. So here are suggestions when you want to accomplish something useful with a Z1 test:
- Do not change the Lots, Margin, and Panic sliders. Their default values are for a capital of about 10000 EUR. So when you set them to higher values, the test won't be any more informative, but the capital on your demo account will be exceeded and you'll likely lose all.
- Do not restart the strategy every couple of weeks. Testing it makes only sense when you let it run for a year or so.
- Look at the equity curve for understanding what profit you can expect and in what time frame. As you can easily see from the curve, the system is making losses, i.e. is lower than a previous high, in more than 95% of the time. This is so with most strategies and is nothing to worry about.
- Do not look every couple of hours how it's doing. This will only waste your time. Start it on a laptop, put that one in your cellar or attic so that you don't see it all the time, and look only once a year how your account is doing.
Z1 is like the Gamestudio templates: it's good, but you can probably do better when you learn coding strategies yourself.
