i have three gearwheels in my level, that are all PH_RIGID / PH_CONVEX registred and my idea was to power only one of them and move the others like real gearwheels... this sounds possible in theory, doesn't it?
but after i programmed it the wheels turned through the others and affected them indirect only (with friction between the models) then i got up with my physiX actor and noticed that the PH_CONVEX hull only built an cylinder around the wheels and did not build a polygonal hull like described in the help...
my model IS under 256 polys (160 polys to be correct), so what the hell could be the reason?

oh... thanks... i searched a bit but i didn't find that one

furthermore it didn't work for me... i tried to do it with that but the gears didn't rotate correctly , even if they were powered by themselves, also collision detection went wrong completely...

is it possible to get an physix-entity to detect collision with a rotating polygon-entity that is not registered in the physic system?

Can you upload an example or pm me? I'll look into this.

Should be possible, but why you don't use the registered entity for that?
