that's pretty much what Juggernaut understood. You can place lights on blender/3dsmax and light positions will be imported to wed.
on a side note, you can also make light calculations on blender, and export the shadows as second uv set, and those will be imported too.
Are you 100% percent sure about this ? Have you ever designed any level ( containing everything - textured models , terrains, different types of lights positioned ...... with shadows ..... ) and then import it in WED - you get your lights and shadows preserved including textures ! ---- If this is really true, then I must say this is just amazing !!!!! It must be one of the most powerful feature of 3D Game Studio A8.
