Hey there,

for my next project I planned to work with 2D Sprites.
Actually I don't have any experience with creating such myself, but as I'm not too bad with creating graphics, I want to learn it laugh
So, my question is: what is the best way to animate a sprite?

I know how animated Sprites work in Gamestudio, not aiming for that... tongue But I think I remember a post anywhere on the internet about CSS (or whatever) calculating extra Frames between the key frames, similiar as to Gamestudio. Do such programs exist? Probably for free? grin

What's wrong with the way current animated sprites work in Gamestudio?

You are looking for bone-based 2D animation software. Here is a list of software:

Maybe u will need this little tool later ( freeware ).

Edit: To make your own sprites, simply write a lite-c tool which takes screenshots from your animated models. Ive done this, worked pretty well ( with lighting and shaders ).

greets
