Is it possible to run Zorro in a simulated Trade mode without an actual brokerage account? All live market data would be pulled from an external data feed?

You must have a broker account. Demo account is good but necessary.

Yes, it is possible. Use Phantom Trades.

Also, the Sierra Chart plugin lets you place Simulated Orders - the orders are only placed at the platform level and never reach the broker.

I ended hacking up my own broker plugin DLL with BrokerOpen and BrokerLogin returning a value of 1. That gets me into Trademode. Then, I place phantom trades only and pulling in my real-time data feeds through custom code. Seems to work!

You could even wrap any plugin and block the trading calls.
