My current tool is "ninja Trader" using their c#.net scripts.

Being a c#.net programmer, I'm not sure it I should go with Lite-C or "bite the bullet" and go with VS C++ for my Zorro projects??

Opinions please.

Thanks!

Walt

Why not both? Lite C is eccentric but especially useful for smaller scripts. C++ is preferred for larger projects but a bit slower to compile (Zorro invokes the MSVC compiler for you).
I suggest learn Lite C first, and if your projects become massive and difficult to debug, convert that script to C++. This will help you to learn Zorro faster anyways, rather getting bogged down on the technicalities of the C++ language and dependencies.

The project I'm looking to convert is fairly small; ~1200 lines in c#... What little I know about C++, it seems a lot more verbose with all the headers and declarations...
Maybe I will start with Lite-C...

Thanks for the suggestion.

well... I went right to c++ and have my script running...
as expected, some logic needs to be changed, but I do have it running.

too many hidden settings and very little forum activity...
don't want to invest the time in a dead tool...
dropping my Zorro effort...

A dead tool? It is obviously updated regularly:

The forum, on the other hand, is a volunteer effort, driven by healthy technical questions. grin
