I am wondering. Is there a limit to how many fallback techniques I can have? I'd like the main technique to be for ps2.0 and vs 2.0, then a fallback for ps1.4 and vs1.1 and a fallback for FFP to just display the texture normally.
it seems to me no limit. it's exactly what I'm doing in my project. -technique for 2.0 -technique for 1.3 or 1.1 -technique for FFP all in one *.fx, when i made 'compile vs/ps 3.0'(my hardware dosn't support it) in first technique, ehgine use next automatically.
