Hey guys,

I've made a pretty big level, but when I try to build, it gives me the following error :

CRITICAL ERROR
"Block outside level boundaries"
use -bound XXX to increase size!

I've had this a few times before but normally I would just ignored it, or made the same thing a little different so it would work.
However, this starts to bugg me, and at the moment I don't have a solution to do this differently.

The thing I'm making is a pretty big level, and al around this big level I have to put this GIANT hollow cube in order for the physics to work inside the level.
O 'course, this giant cube is the problem... it's probablly to big.
However, I made the texture type flat on this block, and I made the textures size at around 100, so it will give as less fps drop as needed for this gigantic level, a good hollow cube.
So this really is the best option I think.

Back to my question: it says I can change it with -bound XXX? where would that be? I try'd searching in the manual for it, but it doesn't say a thing.
I hope someone knows the answer...

-Lennart

nah, I think Nexus is all about entities, not about level geometry.
I first thought I had to fill that -bound XXX line in the comman startup engine options when you run a level... that didn't work though.

EDIT : I just gave the Nexus thing a go, doesn't work I'm afraid...

Do this:

1. Click on the build level icon in WED.
2. Click the >> on the bottom right corner. This'll bring up more options.
3. Find the bound object, which is 56,000 by default, and increase it to, say, 80,000.

Another alternative is to replace some things with map entities or models.

Keep in mind that larger level sizes will decrease the precision of geometry near the edge- if possible stay within the +/-50k limit.

If you want large levels, use models instead. A model can extend well past even 500,000 quants out. They also render faster than level geometry, but they don't have that good of lighting.
