Hello at all!
We are a team consisting of two people and worked for one and a half years at a RPG.
Because the terrain size is not sufficient for an Anventure, we decided to develop a system further adapted to RPGs, the Infinite World System.
It needs a very special data arrangement, and databases are not supported by GStudio. Cause of this, we developed our own database-DLL.
The world is built completely in an editor, that was developed also particularly for the project (Screens).
Weather system, cell and object characteristics are progressed very far, some Screenshots are shown below.

The problem with such a hugh world is, that many models are necessary, since we don't use one single block in our Levels.
However, scripting and storydesign constitute a very large part, and especially the character design had lower priority until now.
We set the demo release date on christmas, but it would be an advance, if we had the support of a competent 3D artist.

I want also stress, that it's a hobby project. Means, everything would be on a voluntary base, without payment.
Since we have a clear concept, which was already converted in many parts, a commercial use of the game at the end is definitely a goal.
Of course, the Modeller in the team is earning a part of the profit received, according to his work.

The work will affect organic Models (humans, Orks, animals) as well as static objects (house parts, environment).
Good skinning abilities and skills for animating are necessary.

Here are some other pictures of our work:
Editor - castle // Editor - panel

Ingame - menu (WIP)

Ingame - weather system - day // night

For further information, visit the homepage of the project:
Forsit - Rising Clouds

We hope someone is interested in our project, wants to work with us, and has the recommended abilities. If interested, either send PMs to one of us, or contact us via ICQ.

The developers of Forsit,
LordRathan & Sinthoras

PS: German language would be appreciated, but is not absolutely necessary

And here again the same, for our english speaking friends
Quote:

The gameplay should be similar to Morrowind / Gothic (1 or 2). That is: 3rd person, huge world, a main storyline which takes 20 to 25 hours. In addition, many small quests and little stories, entertaining for several hours, too. The player is also not forced to solve the main quest. He/She should have much freedom in playing the game, like in a Pen&Paper RPG.
Sure, there will be much to explore. A great amount of dungeons and ruins of ages gone long ago, where you can find treasures and, of course, many many monsters

Beside, a multi-player mode for LAN is planned, but seperate to the storyline. the modes of multiplayer are secret right now.

Did you receive it?
If not, doesnt matter, i was just asking about some more information about your working skills, except those shown here in the forum (e.g your WIP gallery, which looks very good!).
Just send a PM, or a mail: sinthoras05[at]gmx.de
thanks, we are waiting for your answer,
Sinthoras

lol you need a pretty skilled person... Many are capable of doing modeling and skinning but not animating... many are capable of doing only modeling ( as I am )... I'ts pretty hard to find a good modeler/skinner/animator combo...
