I recently got a model pack with these image maps in it. They are all supposed to go on one model:

Bump

Illumination

Specualr

Can I use these in 3DGS, and which shaders should I use?

dunno what an "illumiantion map" is.

the normal mapping shader (-->shader collection) needs a normal map and a specular map, your bump map can easily be converted to a normal map (ati tga2dot3).

Sounds like the normal mapping shader in the shader collection will take care of the bump and specular maps at least.

The illumination map makes areas appear brighter, like there are lights turned on. How about this? Can I get all three maps working on one model?

Yes sure you can, but you need a special shader...also you have to convert that bump map to a normal map (bump maps like that dont work in normal mapping shaders).

Thanks Matt, so what you are saying is that someone would have to make a custom shader in order to apply all three maps?

It's a trivial operation. Just buy 2 (or 3) "good" shader books and, boom!!, you'll be able to figure it right out!

Hmmmmmm.... just wanted to have some fun . Too bad that I am in no need of one of these at this time. But if I get a chance I will post something.
