Hi there,
I have been diversifying and been doing some organic animal models now I got zbrush. Firstly, I am making the low poly maesh in 3DS Max.
Most of it is quads, ie each polygon in mesh is 4 sided,
however a few are triangulated,each polygon made of 3 sides.

Is this a cardinal sin or can I get away with this without effecting the realtime function too much. I hope to skin, bone and have the animals follow an animation loop in game.

Most of my realtime work in the past are buildings etc so this is kind of new.

Quads are not supported by 3DGS. Quadfaces, as far as I know, are converted to triangles, of which 3D hardware is able to understand, as it takes 2 triangles to make a quad.

Oh right thats a good point,
Ill guess ill have to make the low poly mesh and see if its ok in GS face wise when its converted in MED....
