Have been working on a new level now for about a week. All was going fine, using the new v6.40.2 beta. I removed one of my map entities, to re-texture it. When I replace it in the level map, got the following engine startup error:
Crash in BiPedPhy01_Scan: bipedPhys01_height=trace(biPedPhys01_from_vec,biPedPhys01_to_vec) - along with a whole slew of other (apparent) scan errors.
All I did was change the map entity by chosing the new textured one. I didn't move the player, or, touch the map in any other function. I might add, the player model is a good 60 - 70 quants away, and functioned fine with the untextured map entity.
If I delete the map entity completely, the engine is able to start and the player move normally. Using the scripts supplied with the v6.40.2 beta (WED v6.732) with no modifications.
Any ideas? The level is 60% finished and I would hate to have to remove map entities just to get it to run.
Thanks. Doug - any ideas? Oh and just to make it clear, I checked the map entity just in case I did something "stupid" like compile the player in that group.
Just tried something that may be important. Loaded another map entity - using the properties load (model) - updated entities in build and it ran. Strange, is just this one entity.
