Hi-Have built quite a large terrain in MED and applied the MTLMultiTerrain.wdl that is part of the new 6.40 release.

Have now managed to create seperate detail maps over my base texture and the terrain looks good-however....

whatever I do the terrain does NOT reflect sunlight or any kind of light or shadows at all despite all my attempts- question...is it possible to use this WDL for a terrain AND illuminate it or am I wasting my time?

Thanks.

not sure what you mean... do you mean make it look like the sun is reflecting off of it... if so, then try using shadows on it... what i mean is in the properties menu, click on shadow...

You might want to check out my new day-night test-level with improoved multitexture-terrain-shader. The lighting there works pretty well (for sunlight and dynamic lights!). CLICK HERE!

Ok I managed to sort out the problem (I was just trying to have my terrain influenced by ordinary level lighting/sunlight)-but by using an mdl as a high-range dynamic light. Still seems strange to me that this is the only way to light my terrain but looks like this will have to do as a workaraound for the timebeing.
Cheers + will check out your link, Loopix-thanx.
