because it is empty?!

does not work as well... what´s the purpose in creating an empty effect, anyway?

It doesn't matter WHAT i put in there, i always get the same error.
It seems like the compiler (interpreter?) doesn't recognize the effect keyword at all...

hm, please give the code you put in there.

between the "", a shader code has to be set (dx8, dx9, hlsl, ffe...)

k, i assume that you are the one who has got a prob with the bumpmapping code, i gonna look at the scripting forum...

SOLVED !

I had an old version that didn't support the effect keyword,
though the help file mentioned it.

Hate to bump, couldn't edit...
