Heyo!

I'm trying to use the cel shader in the Wiki with A6.40.4. I tested it out, but the models all come out black. I have the sun set up for the level.

There are no errors generated when running the game. What am I doing incorrectly?

Here is a screenshot of the issue:

Thanks in advance for your help!

Probably a fog issue, if it is not passded through the vertexshader. Try setting your entity to nofog, and see if thats the problem.

I'm having another issue with the cel shader.

Some of the models I use produce different results than other models. For example, look at the screenshot below. The purple blob thing has a much thinner cel-shaded line then the two women and the gun (you can barely see the gun, it's behind the purple blob). The red egg with feet and the tree have a weird effect going on. What am I doing incorrectly?

Excuse me once again if this is a newbish question!

that is because the shader uses the pixesl in the skin to determine the outline.
make the skin smaller and add a black box AROUND the skinpam to avoid this effect. AFAIK even adding a black pixel to the 00xy koordinintes of the skin could also work, but i am not sure...

Could the problem also arise from using multiple skins on an MDL model?

With the exception of the purple blob, all of my models are using 64x64 skins, so they are small. The red model only uses one skin, while the tree uses 2 skins.

And why are the outlines different thicknesses, and how can I fix this issue?

Thanks again

Hey Spike - I tried what you recommended - it worked!

I'm running into other problems, though. Look at these two screens:

One of the images shows a black border around my tree, but the next image, if I move the camera so the tree is in a certian place, the border disapears.

Why does this happen?

Also, there are varying thicknesses for each of my model. Is this an inherent issue with the shader, and if not, what am I doing incorrectly?

Thanks for helping me! And sorry once again if these are obvious questions.
