I am using the beta 6.40.4. Whenever I import a model into MED, whether it be 3DS or OBJ, textured or not textured, or modelled in a different program, it does not load correctly in the engine. You can import the model into WED, but when you do actually run it, it gives you a 'Can't open file' error.

MED displays the model, although some parts of the model are black, as my screenshot below reveals. The engine preview function loads up, but does not display the models. Is it something I'm doing incorrectly, or is this some rare bug I've encountered?

I've kept the error message on top from WED for reference as well.

Thanks for any help!

It may be because the plug-ins for importing have to be updated to allow for the new release version. From when 6.40.0 was released in late December of 2005, this was a common scenario. Now, 4 1/3 months later, I don't know if this is still present or the case.

There is certainly a fix, but I think it's up to you to fix that.

Error 1301 means that there is no such file found in the path.
