Hello, I just recently decided I'd patch my gamestudio standard 5.51 to the 5.52 version so I'd be a little bit more up to date, and a little more prepared for if I decide to upgrade to A6 (because it uses A6 syntax, right?). However, I keep getting an error that the patch cannot find a file for some reason.

I've given the correct path to the gamestudio folder, and my key.exe file is in the folder. I'm not sure what it can't find.

The error I get says...

Can't update
Err. #36
Error 036 - No valid file found!

I know I've made the update before in the past and reverted back to 5.51 because my old scripts were no longer working. But I want to get familiar using the current syntax of A6.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Hi,
make sure that your keyfile is in the folder, and that the whole 3dgs folder
is not write-protected; the same goes for the files inside.

also make sure the program is not open or being used. obvious I know
but i did that once.
