Heyo!

I did a google search on this topic, as my 3D Modeller (Hexagon 2) produces displacement maps. I know several shaders (Sphere comes to mind!) use normal maps that can detail basic geometry, and displacement maps seem to use the same concept. Is there anyway to convert a displacement map into a normal map, or to utilize a displacement map in a shader?

Thanks for any help .

Displacement map is another word for heightmap, and there are many way to convert a heightmap into a normal map. One of the best tools is the Nvidia Photoshop plugin.

Sphere Engine--the premier A6 graphics plugin.
