Hi all,

I have C++ as a dev. system available. I would like to use C++ instead of Cscript to program the whole game.

On the Gamestudio spec page it says "Of course, if you prefer to use your own C++ or Delphi development system, GameStudio's engine can also be driven by external DLLs through the plugin interface."

Do I need to download the SDK for plug-in development in order to use C++ to build my game and use the ACKNEX.DLL engine to render? It's not really clearly explained anywhere.

Any info would be great.

Thx!

Yes, you have TO download the SDK development KIT on 3D GAMESTUDIO WEB SITE.
BUT I THINK YOU NEED A USERNAME AND A PASSWORD BEFORE YOU START DOWNLOADING.

You'll need the Engine SDK included in the last public beta versions, but even with it you can't develop the whole application without C-Script, yet.

The Source Development Kit is just for development of dynamic link librarys not for executables. And these need C-Script even more then the engine sdk.

Your friendly mod is at your service.

Thank you for the information. I downloaded the SDK from the downloads page for the Gamestudio engine 6.31 version.

And yes, it does look like the information and the way it's setup is mostly for plug-ins and other modifications, and still you have to simulate C-Script, so what I wanted to do is simply not possible with this engine.

Thanks anyway!
