Hi I want to know how to make real looking car models and human's ect? Where would I find a place that can show me the way's on doing this? I seen tutorials using blue-prints but they use 3ds max I don't have that, I have A6 engine with latest med and I have truespace 3 and have blender, what software would let me easly make a wireframe by using a blue-print or referance picture. How would I create a great looking model with the software I have?

Thanks for your time.

Hiya.

There is no easy answer. You just have to practice, practice, practice! Unless you are a "natural" at 3d modeling, it will likely take you upwards of a year or so to get real good at non-organic (re: non-"human/animal") modeling, and probably double or tripple that for organic modeling.

The methods for modeling are more or less the same, regardless of package. However, if you are a total noobie at 3d, learning the ins and outs of your chosen software is the first step. All 3d packages out there have tutorials that come with them I'm sure (trueSpace, blender, etc.). Go through all of those. Then hit the net for others. There are too many to list, just search and read. There are some places that sell tutorials or have "premier support" monthly payment deals that allow access to more/better/advanced tutorials. Here's a few links to get you started (some are package-specific, others more general):

Hiya.

Well, uh, you model it. Again, there are probably a million ways to do it, but one way is to select the part of the model that would be the clothes (ex: the 'shirt'). Then duplicate/extrude/add thickness (depends on the modeling package you are using)...voila! A shirt. Then, go in a tweek it a bit here and there to add some randomness, apply UV, texture, and you're done.

I'm not very familiar with either MED or Blender (I use Hexagon2 and Softimage XSI), but blender probably has a way to select polygons and then extrude them to get your clothes. Here is an example of "polygon extruding clothes" (it uses Hexagon2, but the purpose is there):

(you want to go down to Part 9, where it shows how he does the shorts for the character).
