ok, I updated the demo of MOSES

You can download the game here
http://rapidshare.de/files/26794542/the_exodus.zip.html
I fixed the problem with the camera.tilt although I still havent fixed the problem of Moses being near wall
I also added a war like state, the Israelites are warring with the egyptians for their freedom.
I havent placed skin on the Israelites or the egyptians I am planning to do that soon.
but it's a rebellion for freedom, and Moses must listen to God, viva la resistance.
I also fixed some slow down, try the demo its much improved.
but still be gentle with me :\
the keys are the same jump == spacebar, shoot == left mouse button etc etc.

here are some pictures of the war

Please tell me what you think, cause im real serious about making a game, i always wanted to make one.
feedback tell me how I can improve and anything you think would help.

hey tek... what are you using for your camera code, cuz i dont mean to be mean, but this camera going through walls has to be fixed, if you need help with it, i am able to. im good with cameras with 3dgs so i think i can help you a bit. pm me (or reply on this thread, but pm is recommended) if you want help with it or any other part that is on the programming side of this.

the houses in the first screen shot have gaps between the polygons. if those are level blocks i don't think there can be much you can do to fix it, except there's a variable in the manual that you set to choose how much the engine tries to fill these gaps. sorry, i can't remember what it is. if they are MDL model's, some welding and merging can be done to pull them together.

i'm on my parent's computer right now so i'm unable to download the demo, but it looks like you're going quite well.

its blocks, which brings up the point, it doesnt look as if your using the shadow map too much, so why not switch to mdls to make it easier to make natural looking level?

The Houses where made by blocks then what happened to make the gaps was when I started to csg subtract to make windows and doors it left that marks. but yeah I think it would be a better idea to use mdls for my houses.

CSG Subract really shouldn't ever be used. Its better just to place the blocks yourself. Also make sure to keep the snap as high as possible. I noticed on the stairs the sides didn't quite match up.

You can fix this by ungrouping the blocks and make the ones that dont match bigger so that they overlap eachother. If you want to use mdl for a house good luck with the skinning
And btw , you better look at the links page for some free textures (AU too) there are some very good textures and you'll be able to make the level better
