Thank you, that was another question in the back of my mind. How much of this should actually be done before presenting my offer. As khanoftruth said, as did I, I expect that most of the work will be from me. However, keep in mind, this is a beginners project. I have worked on several different small projects before: some modeling, some coding, and some level design. However, none of them have ever yielded a full game. You could say that I know the basics of everything, but do not excel in anything .
