One of the things that blew me away with the Dreamcast and the PS2 was the way the helmets seemed to reflect light in the sports games.

Is there a trick other than the metal flag, that can get us that effect.

I would like to know how to have a Plastic football helmet shine and a fiberglass boat shine also.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ken

as environment mapping is not yet available, the metal flag is the only way to make an object reflect light.
if you set a high ambient- and albedo- value, it can look really nice..

that's a sphere with the metal flag, next to it there's a non-static light on whitch it reacts.
