The manual has a search function. If you don't understand something, like with the acklog.txt, look it up in the manual.

Depending on your 3D card you might need two steps to switch to 1024x768. Start in fullscreen (video_mode = 8, video_screen = 1) and then switch to the desired resolution with a video_switch command in your main function.
