rating will force lots of indies to stop developing because distibutors will demand it. And if publishers dont jump in, not a lot of hobby designers will be able to pay 3grand.

and even if your publisher pays it, the money has to be earned first. So your game has to make a minimum of 3000 usd before you get one cent.

Though i doubt microsoft can ruin the game market, but they will do their best to promote their own studios and software as good as they can.
and if this means ruining other software studios with the help of their monopolistic structure, then i am sure they wont mind.
They never did, so why should they start to grow a conscience after decades?!
