A few questions about terrains:

1) My standard edition will open hmp terrains and i can even see the mesh inside the editor, but when I compile the game I can't see the terrain. But I can still walk on it. I realize I can't make hmp terrains using MED, but am I able to use hmp terrains inside my game? If so then why would the terrain show invisible?

2) If the answer to the above is no, then how can I get a terrain into my standard edition maps, that I can walk on, without having to buy the upgrade to 3dgs?

Thanks,
Jeff

In MED import terrain from pic. Save as MDL. Check "polygon" in its properties. Maybe not the best way but it works. I am not familiar with standard.

yeah, but I think the collision detection will be a bit worse than a HMP terrain

Well since I can actually walk on the hmp terrain, I think I can import the mdl then lay it over the top of the hmp.

I did it and it works perferct. Just open the hmp in med, save it as a mdl. Then import hmp and mdl into wed, overlay hmp with mdl and u can then walk on it as well as see it. Of course I noticed that this only works with the latest shooter template at least. If you try it with the template 5 then you have to make the mdl passable I believe. Not verified it yet, I just know that for some reason using that template to enable walking causes my character to collide with the mdl, whereas the latest shoooter template doesn't, but makes me pass through the mdl instead.
