I've noticed a lot of "god" talk over on this side of the forum. Many people fighting over god/no god. It made me wonder what if we proved that there was or wasn't a god. The scenario is after slaying away for 1000 years humankind has finally proven/dis-proven god mathematically . Eventually some physical evidence from some where distant in the universe lands on earth (I know this is very far fetched but if we can put god in a court room lol, what can't we do[some other thread incase your lost]). Could everyone who posts here please answer theses two questions?

1) How would your life change if it turns out there is indeed a god? What would you do how would you act?

2) How would your life change if it turns out there is indeed NO god? What would you do how woul you act?

To get things going I will answer first.

1) Nothing would really change in my life. I believe in god being a very forgiving person. Besides if I am indeed his son then i'm good, i mean I wouldn't send my son to hell for the rest of... well.. forever lol, so why would he if he loves me so much .

2) SUICIDE! My girlfriend still thinks this is stupid, but I'm sorry I can't live just even 100 short stupid years knowing it's really all for nothing. It might be hypocritical to commit suicide because life is too short, but I couldn't deal with the depression of knowing my entire life, and everything I do is meaningless. The good news is I won't strap a bomb to my chest and take people with me. I have no interest in taking someone else's life. If I choose not to live I want everyone else to have a choice also, it's only fair.

I think you have everything backwards. God adds nothing to life...if there is a god and a heaven what is the point of anything? Nothing man can do would be worth jack. Who but a mindless simpleton really wants to sit around in heaven and love god for all eternity?

Thank you for not reading the point of the post. But to answer your question, I wouldn't mind being happy forever. Hey heaven is just as possible as in possible. Unless you can prove it or dis-prove it, I'm not really interested. What about eternal happiness? I know what your saying that would get boring. Which of course is bs, how can happiness be boring? Besides, if heaven is possible, then there it probably has an infinite amount of different things for people like you to do (All I would want is my girl, and to work on my game). Regardless, that's not what I want to discuss in this post.

When I was five I belived in the Santa-claus.
Did not change much for me to find out that it does not exist.

Now, as a pure atheist, I like the idea that I cant be controlled by others
in my thinking. Mind Controll for example by stating some new interpretations (politically motivated)
of stuff people
wrote 3000 years ago that had totally other problems.

God cant be disproven, as the people who are religious take this as a
belive and not a scientific fact. Cant disprove a belive on something that cant
be registered.
Lets say you belive, you dog ate the cookie. But there is no cookie anymore, and
the dog does not talk. There is little options to disprove your belive that the dog
ate the cookie.

1). I would live a life of sin and repent on my death bed.

2). Go off murdering. All they can do is kill me and I'm going to die anyway and it will all be the same. The world will know my name this way!

It cannot be proven that God does not exist but
in case God is proven to exist,I'll try to find
scientific explanation to that.Until I reach a
conclusion on that,my life will remain the same

1. I would keep as I am. If there is god, there is something greater that we are to meet someday.

2. I would skip all what I am, and start an assassin career. Mindless one that is.
