Well, i think they purposely did not add this in standard edition BECAUSE it is a learning edition. Multi player requires more scripting knowledge then say a shooter and so you can't just jump in it. So if you think you've learned enough from standard you can upgrade to com or pro to increase your knowledge on other area's of expertise. Or you can buy populace
