somewhat the same what I said but your right indeed. Beginners often want to start off with the idea to create a huge multiplayer game. This just isn't possible if your a beginner. So indeed trying out the engine by buying a lower version is the best option and if you think you can handle it you can always upgrade. And as for torque, forget it. The code to program the engine is harder than c-script so you'll have to have more experience. And off course if you don't like the fact that you have to spend a lot of money on a fairly good networking engine you can always write plugins yourself. There is a numerous amount of tutorials available for networking in C++ (the engine is built in C++) so you can program your own networking handling. And if you can do that, then you can call yourself a seasoned coder and can start off with really big multiplayer games
