looks great!

But I'd love to see a nice shader on the car though. one that reacts to sunlight [and/or static lights]. Just a nice specular shader to give it a real "shiny paint look", you know?

Well..

The shadow is only a sprite imitating the car ( the old one lol ) form and being ( or trying to ) right on the track surface. My A6 edition doenst have shadows (!).. Soon I will upgrade and this point will get better.

Yeah, "Shiny paint look" is also my objective

Wow. These cars look fantastic.
Only quibbles, the grey streak on the middle of the tire surface and the odd texture on the front spoiler and cockpit of the blue and white #7 car. Very nice model.

What sort of overhead would a shader bring?

As I see, my carbon fiber texture isnt exactly a success lol.

Will rip it out

About a shader, I dont know, never did it. Who knows ?

Anyone interested in make a shader test with the model ?

I worked on some minor details in the car chassis, some adjusts and texture in general :

I guess I can give the shader idea a test. Just send me a car to try it with.

Using a normal-mapping shader would look best, but they're not the fastest shaders, and slow down the closer you get to the model...

in order to use colision models one needs to be using some sort of physics model?
