In case of using restricted angles:

What about using 0,45,90,135,180,225,270,315,360?

(Not to confuse you! Do as you think! It's just an idea, don't know wether any game used something like this before.)

I don't think the controls are honestly that bad, but they do feel a bit clunky, how about your character always "looks" at where the mouse is pointing (yes that means you have to input some sort or mouse pic) and then the arrows keys/WASD make so W-move toward mouse, S-Move backward from mouse, AD-Strafe from mouse. But yes your games are extremely challenging some sort of help is needed like a save n load system would be great, and the slow time powerup sounds promissing (slow the whole game down perhaps), that would be great . But just my 2-cents, great game, like I said

Thanks for the ideas, and I agree, the controls are much better in their new form, using the mouse and keys.
