I now tried installing Lite-C on my laptop (with IGP 345M) and used the Catalyst drivers from ATI with some special software to get newer than those provided on the Microsoft Update website. Only something wrong and Lite-C MED kept crashing every time. It worked again after installing the drivers from MS Update.

Maybe what you could try is to completely remove Lite-C and remove old registery entries. I used software for this operation. Also remove any temp files, reboot and default install it again on your system?

Furthermore, when you click on a .mdl and it points to the lite-c folder doesn't mind I guess. That you can change where you associate file types with corresponding application. I'm using the med.exe in the gstudio6 directory. And if I want to open with Lite-C's MED, I open the model from inside the application.
