I saw the book at the GDC and had a chance to skim over it.

Like others before, I was disappointed at the Game Design to Game Development ratio.

The majority of the book talks about basic game design... a topic for which there are many and better books.

Once you do get to the Game Development with 3DGS, it doesn't read any better than the Conitec Manual and the wealth of tutorials out there.

From my brief skim, I got the impression that if you worked though the manual and worked though AUM, you would get as much if not more than what is presented in the book.

Very disappointed I'm sorry to say and I would not recommend this book to anyone new to 3DGS or Game Design.
