Is this possible? I know you can do it in med, but can you make an actual game gourad shaded? IS there any special tricks?

You must set the albedo-value of the model to a higher value (100=maximum gouraud-shading, 0=no shading).

Actually, all models in A5 are gourad shaded. The albedo value sets the tone difference between the lightest and the darkest part of the model. When set to 0, the model as a whole will get darker and lighter. When set to 100, there will be a very big difference between the dark and light part of the model (hard light).

Make sure the "Shaded" flag is set for the map entity.
- but watch the size of the entity, as too large an object will yield a "too Big for shaded" error when you build.
(in which case set the "Flat" flag, *not* shaded for that one entity).

I don't mean to pick on this person, but....

Here's an example of good advice gone ambiguous. I see this alot in tutorials and such. "watch the size of the entity" and "an object too big" are irrelevant without a frame of reference. What's my point?

Where does anyone actually quantify "too big" or "too many"? How many is too many? How big is too big?

P.S. I've made this mistake this myself......
