I have v6 working fine now but when i updgraded to 6.5 when you run a level you cannot move around in the engine with the mouse to view it. THe mouse has no effect and neither to the other keys. The only thing you can do it exit back to the editor.

any ideas?

Press the "0" key. That should free up the camera.

Thanks for that bit of information. I was about to ask how to un-upgrade so I had something that worked!

When you go into edge move object mode it really throws a lot of garbage on the screen. Being an absolute newbie I can't say if it was like that in earlier versions.

Sometimes when you are in select mode it won't select objects, or doesn't change the color to indicate what is selected. I'm not sure which is the case. Being new to this I'm working with simple stuff and shouldn't be having such obvious problems. I didn't experience any problems with the trial version.

Be sure not to have the 'lock selection' active (that's a yellow symbol thing somewhere topleft), that will literally lock your current selection and will make it impossible to change your selection even if nothing is actually selected.
