i found out what was going on, i opened the level wmp or was it wmb (the main file you open to load wed) in wordpad and found that the $$w file had been renamed to VEHCL~1.$$w after renaming it to what it should be and reloading the .wmp it fixed its self but it still does it all the time by renaming it to VEHCL~1.$$w

its alot of hassle to having to keep closing the files renaming them and opening them again to check my level but it works.
