My favorite: Pipe Rush,
(made me play it the longest time from the entries)

Very nice collection of games. A lot of effort put into them.
This shows nicely what 3dGs is capable of.

Critics:

Some games did not include the d3dx9_30.dll !!!
Are the players supposed to know and install this dll?

Some games are visully better than pipe-rush, but either
they had bad controlls, or a too simplistic gameplay.
(The game should be very easy to play in the beginning, especially
in casual games, to make the player get into it, and like it.
Later it should get harder)

yep with the difficulty its always the hardest problem. make it too easy and better playes will not like it, too hard and newbies dont play it.

anyways, the contest is open, may the best entry win. i wish you all a happy easter holiday with the entries.

Four little warriors is the most 'commercially ready' game so far. Looks and plays nice! However, still some more to see&play before casting my vote...

Congrats to all, I was amazed by the amount of games submitted!

There were quite a few very good games this time, good work everyone! I'll try to give a personal top 5;

5.Here I've got some mixed feelings, lol. I liked Angela's World's style really really a lot, but it feels a bit unfinished somehow, a simple 'flower counter' would have helped already (I don't care about menus, but at least give the game a challenge somehow, eventhough it's obvious you have to gather flowers. ). I also liked Pipe Rush, but it was a bit too much like Tetris for my taste, at first I didn't quite realized it wás so much like tetris. But this game does feel quite finished. Not much done wrong here.

4.Although not that special at first glance, I also liked the Sokoban 3D game, this game does a lot of things just right. There are some critics though, like I would recommend not to turn the camera, sometimes it's hard to get/keep a good overview. I also would recommend adding a 'turn around upon pressing the 'down' key'-move. I kept forgetting that I should turn twice first with left or right. Pressing back/down to turn 180 degrees would be good to have.

3.Four Little Warriors simply deserves to be mentioned. Although the action is a little bit too chaotic and I found it generally to be hard to beat an opponent, it simply looks cool and you can really tell there has been put a lot of work into this.

2.Springball was really cool too, but unfortunately I'm not very good at it. I think it lacks special power-up things, like a 'enlarge the thing you control' power-up or perhaps things like 'safety net blocks' that keep the ball in play when you start out and will break when the ball hits them the first time. In my opinion it's a good runner-up though, I especially like the very original approach.

1.All in all I liked Memowar the best, it has great potential. I like the 'laser towery' effects, the quite colorful approach isn't bad and it has cool music, but what I like the most is the fact that the whole game concept simply works rather well. It's simple perhaps, but I can imagine adding more 'levels' of towers to increase the overall difficulty dramatically. After you've come to level '10' it really makes you want the game to become more difficult, but I know the 'difficulty' was limited to 10% max. for this demo. I'm actually looking forward to the full version.

It really was a close call between the ones I've mentioned and all had their really good points like originality, highest fun factor, most finished-looking and most solid game or simply an awesome graphical style. It was really difficult for me to pick one.

Cheers

@Phemox
well the angelas world game is complete ^^ I don't want to use any interface or something in the game, you just should collect the flowers without seeing numbers on screens, to keep the "realism" (even though its hard to get one in this kind of game xD).
My next game has the same style, but is larger (not just collection flowers on a planet, but with levels) and there you won't have any interface either, you dont know your health and stuff.

@shinobi, nooo i tricked you MUAHAHA *runs away*

Actually no interface is good, I liked that, no health isn't a problem either, after a while you'll see that you can take 'some hits' before it's game over. However a 'score' is quite necessary in my opinion, together with 'restart game' option or something like that. Anyways, the concept and art style totally rocks, so I'm looking forward to your new game,

Cheers

Personally I feel that the jury should also consist of females...the reason is that 65% of casual game customers are females in the portals..so it should be fair to have some females also to vote !

@Damocles thanks for the vote.

@PHeMoX Pipe Rush has really nothing to do with Tetris , only same thing are simular , something falls down and you have to stock them. The Main diffrence will be clear in later Levels . I should make the demo with the first 5 level because the action and the rush begins there ( is it to late for updating ? ).

@Kihaku Damn it i should know that .....
