Ok, here im back with a simple noob question:

I have two different models, one for the player and a second for the weopon.

Now i wanna animate them together.

How to do? I know the "merge" funktion in MED, so i am able to bring both models into the MED.
Now my problems start :-)

1. How to scale a model down, cause the weapon is huuuge.
If i try to scale it, im only able to scale 2 direction (i.e. x+y). Thismakes the weapon thinner and shorter, but the height stays as it was. Is there a funktion to scale it down like in WED (mean holding ctrl while scaling, and the proportion is correct)

2. After succsefull scale down, im able to attach the weapon to a bone for example, and animate the whole Models (player and gun). correct?

But how to use the animation then? i mean, if i save the model then, and use its animation insidethe engine, woulthe player not always have the gun?

Or do i need 2 seperate saves? Mean animate the model with the gun, delete the gun from the animations, and save the model animations, and do the same for the gun??

sry, am little bitconfused about this.

Thanx for help

:-)

You may this with many ways...
First... marge in med and animated the gun with the player frame by frame, then delate the player. Then use function my.frame = you.next_frame.
Second opction is to attach the weapon to the hand by vec_for_vertex function and then animate it by f.e. my.pan = player bone(n) pan. (I hope it's possible)

Never say never.
