Did it and know how easy it is. XNA is really intuitive, but it still has some bugs in the current version

Are you using the update refresh? Also, do you know any software outthere that doesn't have some bugs?

I have read that in the GameStar article. But maybe it is only available for good teams under an NDA and with a promising project. But they offer this option as well. Probably not to us for good reasons.

Thank you very much for this offer. I would like to ask you something:

Is it possible to create a scene with dynamic and static shadows plus shaders at the same time?

I mean: If possible I could create a scene with good static pre-rendered lighting and could use global illumination or radiosity to make it perfekt. Some dynamic shadows could help to place dynamic objects with physics applied. Animated characters need dynamic shadows as well. And a flash-light needs a dynamic light to brighten the scene.
At the same time I would like to have normal- or parallax-mapping to get more dynamic feedback and better lighting for small details.

If all this is possible then we could create really realistic and well-looking scenes.

Best regards,
Frank

Friendly_Frank,

Currently we have 2 shadow techniques implemented:

1) Basic -- blob shadows (that's really simple)
2) Stencil based shadow volumes (works correctly only with closed meshes, has issues)

However, we plan to implement at least shadow mapping in addition/replacement to stencil shadows.

BTW, we do provide a flash-light -- we provide spot-light and projective spot-light light types. Check out the Light Demo scene, you'll see it.

PS. For some reason I didnt get an email notification of your reply, so sorry for the delay.
