Damn. Ok, I understand. I'm getting closer though... I think. If only the manual gave some better documentation on the portal_x and stuff. I guess I'm going to lookup this on wiki, but I have no idea what to search for

At least I've got the mmoving through done. I made me own c_trace [p_trace()] that works just like c_trace, but will also move through the portal with the same offsets and such... Just got to figure out those damn views.... *sigh*

I looked at the link and nothing seems to be there, can you try giving another link perhaps? I'd really like to try this out, thanks in advance

cant everyone make a different portal game? For example where you can apply portals only at certain places for certain effects. For example you are in a room, with a mirror, a wheel chair and a... and when you shoot a portal on the wheel chair and go through, then you are crawling and you can go through the vent system. If you shoot a portal on the mirror and go through, the word gets flipped upside down... and so on...

I'm also working on a portal game...

I'm planning on making it a 2 player online game. A FPS with portals as well. How fun it would be to shoot a portal on the roof, and another under your enemy and watch him fall... lol.

Yeah, I wonder how to get out of such 'endless loops' actually ...

Cheers

Ok, some people missed the demo so I will repost a newer one. This is not the
current state of the project and may have bugs. The newest incarnation contains
innovations that I would like to keep confidential for now.

This demo includes Portals that dont close until you create a third or use
middle mouse to close them. This way, you can create endless loops or walk in
and out of the same portal in any direction.

Also(for Locoweed), shooting through portals to create another portal.

And also a test guy you can drop through a portal at his feet, and he comes out
where ever the other portal is. Toggle this guy on and off with the "T" key if
he bothers you (he comes running back for more).

This demo also has some fixes that may have been in the earlier demo, but I
can't remember what they are.

As always, I hope you have fun with it.
