the hands should be rotated for about 90° so that the fingers look down. Texture is missing. The wings look cheap.
Needs much more detail (maybe you can do that with texture).

there not really wings, more like bone plates sorta, i know it`s not textured yet lol. but adding more detail means more polys, how high would you say is ok for a model ingame?

3000 with extremes, but with that kind of model I'd say 1800-2400 is good enough, but less polies and more details is always better the amount of polies is always dependant on the size of the model, purpose, vision range, shape of the object etc

I can't really imagine what is what exept the arms/ hands. I wish I could be more creative in invetning monsters, but maybe you should at least have some kind of anatomically half way possible imagination? Well in the end it's fantasy, but I use real creates as base for "new" ones.

hmm, perhaps i should give it a bit of an upper torso, then the arms would look a bit better i think. i`ll remake it and post the results. thanks for the thoughts guys.

Well for the term monster you completed your task For a first monster try it isn't bad but I would advice you to let your fantasy work until a nice monster comes out because this is just a 'thing' and not a real monster but I think you get the clue Cheers Frazzle
