Quick little update: I have decided to split it into two parts, part one making a level, adding people and other cars and using player_drive, part two scripting your own driving routine. If I didn't do this the tutorial could turn out almost as big as the WDL manual. Wow.

Hey go for it, I'd love to see a driving workshop. Although you say it will be small, I'd like to see the cars have basic features like acceleration and brakeing tilts model. Hard turns rolls model realistically, not like the driving code that come with the studio. Seperate movement for the wheels so to allow for realistic suspension, and rear wheels that spin with throttle. Well what ever you plan is going to be a great start. Plus by making it a simple one would mean it'll be released faster.

Scott, Most of the ideas you had are going to be put in. Although, the idea behind all workshops is to not give you all the code but give you a start.

I have some 'fudged' car physics stuff that I'm working on for a car physics demo. I'll be happy to contribute it if you need it. -NizZy
