Me and you both! I'm working on a Menu-based RPG template for A5. It'll be a 3rd party tool.

Hey, figured out a camera position like Golden Sun, coz it's kind of complicated to make the camera dynamic like in final fantasy 7-10. I've also put in the commands and stuff and put simple animations for attacking and magic (particles mostly). I still haven't made an atb gauge, the turns are predetermined by the speed, and i also gotta work on an AI of an enemy, coz for now, all it does is do normal attacks, it doesn't guard or whatever.
Also, i need help on battle algorithms for like the damage based on the defense, magic defense, attack, dexterity, luck, and etc.
Then next i'll try to script stat boosting effects (haste, slow, poison, float, etc.)
Oh yeah, i've also put in a limit brake gauge (ala FF7) [Razz]

I will be happy to read the RPG tutorial. I do have faith that the RPG tutorial will be a lot better than the tutorial that I saw in the GS Downloads page.

Hey everyone, its been awhile. Since i lost my motivation the first time around because some other posts about rpg-tutorials that sounded more promising came up, school got in the way, and b-ball season was around, i kinda stopped and it was hard to get back to it cause i forgot my exact spot.
But know since it's summer ill probably have some free time, so ill either continue my current one or make one for a higher version of A5 or A6 if i get it which is doubtful, but ill check into it.
If i dont do either of these, i could upload what i currently have on the project which will show you a very basic way that i code where if you catch on you can make damn near anything....even if its not the most efficient.

I would be most grateful if you wouldn't mind doing this. [Big Grin]

Any ideas you could share about rpg's or anything else you don't mind throwing in would be cool.

Thanks
