Hey, Ben! Those features would be very good for the RPG tutorial! I can't wait to download a tutorial. If I like it (since I will be scanning through tutorials once it's available, I would like to get a better version that includes extra features that I would need explained for the RPG tutorial. One thing that might be useful for others is a solid example of how to get multiple items in game en masse.
For example, as opposed to scripting a long sword, a short sword, a bastard sword... have a single sword script that calls variables from an array to represent all of them. Easily expandable, pretty simple to implement but its one of the least documented procedures.
