well, you can work with whatever you want, as long as the end file is in a gamestudio compatible format (EG MDL, PCX; TGA; BMP, DDS, OGG; WAV, WDL, FX, WMB ect...)
we need a toon shader because our text adnveture is different...

Well well well...
I use this Opportunity to talk a little about the upcoming project. Since we are still looking for people who want to spend their freetime with developing a game that actually gets made, and probably even gets published, thus bringing YOU some cash, i decided to reveal a bit of the game.
First, a huge THANK YOU to GuitarHeroxXx for his Toon Shader. Works perfectly for what we need, runs fast and actually does a splendid job on what we want to achieve. Amazing work man, thank you!
Then...
The Game is set on a remote Island somewhere in the caribbean. YOu play little swiss boy kevin. The game itself is pretty non linear. it does not follow a storyline, it rather is a collection of quests. while you travel through the various places on the island, you find lots of quests that want to be done. however, everything is connected, and the whole story squeezes itself throughout the game like the genuily known red string as we say in austria^^
the game will be fully 3d, no prerendered or predrawn stuff. our models will feature that distinctive IceValk look, with silly personas, funny designs and of course the toon shader you all know i love.
of course, i cannot reveal all features at that moment in time, but you will see some stuff sooner or later so be prepeared^^
and now, what we are really really needing:
CODERS, at least one. Would be pretty cool. Since the Design Document is in german language, it would be good if you happen to speak german. if not, i will translate all neccesary things into english for you^^
MODELLERS, at least one. Since we need loads and loads of models, two would be better. Basically, the modeller should be able to model, animate and unwrap the models. i can skin them myself AS LONG AS THERE IS A SKINMAP. humanoids mostly, because enviromental models will be made (most of the time) by our level designers
if you happen to be a level designer with interest, then tell me. im sure i have some work for ya if you want^^
So, we need people with experience. sorry for all those who are interested but new to the scene, but we follow a tight schedule and just dont have the time to learn you in. thus, at least a MEDIUM knowledge of A6 (NOT A7) is needed.
Thank you^^

"GuitarHeroxXx" - lol, close enough Anyways, glad the shader works good for you. Let me know if it needs any changes. As always, I'm pretty busy. I'm leaving 4am tomorrow to Vegas for 2 weeks, so I won't be doing any work/forum for that time. However, when I get back I'd like to help out with some programming. I've lost inspiration for my Demonsion project, hopefully I'll gain some inspiration while I'm gone. Back to the toopic, I can't dedicate any amount of time, but if you need anything, feel free to ask... Some little code-snippets I have if they're of any interest: - Perfect portals: Can "somewhat" be seen in latest Demonsion demo. Press P to create a portal. First one disapears from small coding mistake. - Newton and 3DGS physics - Newton based flight sims: chopper & wright plane - plenty of shaders of all types - artificial 3d sound: playing the same ambient sound twice, one with a slight delay, and panning each one to face 90 deg from eachother - sound volumes: use an invisible block entity to fade between ambient sounds for different regions - terrain shadowmap gen: saves result to TGA. not too special, but it works. - ...and all kinds of other crap. ...yeah, ATM I don't really have anything better to do than list code I've done that never was shown/used. Well, see you in 2 weeks.
