Med Bones : -
You create bones structure first. Move the bones to their final positions(unselect Move Children).
Then you goto the Apply Vertices Mode. Select a bone and then select the vertex you want to attach with it. Click the Apply Vertices to assign it to the bone or Remove Vertices to remove it from the bone.


Bones Animations benefits using the CFX : -
CharacterFX is very good for Inverse Kinematics Animations. You dont have to move individual bones but position child bones to their new locations and intermediate frames and parent of the bones are calculated automatically to their new best positions.
