I was wondering if there are commands in C-script to access the rotation, pitch, roll, etc commands you can get from a 3Dconnexion (SpaceNavigator,SpaceBall, etc) mouse or similar input device with 6 degrees of freedom. Or will I have to use C/C++ to get access those kinds of inputs?

Thanks

you mean c_rotate with use_axisr mode?
where pan is always pan, tilt is tilt whatever the pan/tilt is?

Never say never.

i think he was asking about accessing input devices like 3Dconnexion (SpaceNavigator,SpaceBall, etc). not sure, but check out manual, joy_raw, joy_force and other joystick related stuff

Thanks guys,

I actually haven't purchased the device yet. I will try that out if I decide to buy the mouse.

I was curious if anyone has done this before. Does anyone know if you use the joystick functions to control non-typical controllers(ie. x box)? Would I have to add the mouse as a "game controller" in the control panel perhaps?

thanks again.

I don't think it's very common question, better ask Conitec

Will do.

Does anyone know of joystick with more than 3 degrees of freedom(6 would be preferable)? If I could find a joystick with that I know I can use c script to code for it.
