The purpose of this thread is threefold. 1. Show a new model pack I made 2. Ask for ideas for new models/packs 3. Poll the price range 1. The new Pack I will be selling is a set of wooden props, these are not necessarily aimed towards any genre, could be used easily in fantasy games, but could be put in a modern setting in a suburban bedroom etc. The pack will be sold to individuals, as well as I will sell licenses to resell the models too. To become a reseller contact me using the information at the bottom of this post. Screenshots: 2. Currently I have 6 objects: - Barrel
- Bed
- Chair
- Crate
- Crate
- Dresser
- Table
If you have any ideas, the models have to meet the requirements explained in section 1. I'm willing to give a discount to those whose ideas I use. 3. Right now as I said before, I plan to sell the pack on my own, and to resell the license to it. I am on the fence about releasing individual models with a slight markup. As it stands I'm planning on selling the six pack for about $9.00 which makes the models about $1.50 USD each. The quality of the models are in my honest opinion, commercial and come with high-resolution skins (1024x1024tga). I am polling you as the public about the price, please tell me how much you thing I should charge, using fair values (not just low to benefit your project, but how much you think I deserve).

The hard part about trying to sell these types of models is that there are a lot of good ones freely available on the net (same goes with wood textures). Your models are pretty good, but they look a little too "clean"...they need more details and variance, like scratches, dents, chips or splintered pieces.
I can't really see myself buying such a pack because all the models in my game need to look of the same style, and if I have just a few chairs and tables that look completely different from all my other models, it doesn't look very good. In other words, the pack would need to be more comprehensive
I think your pack might have more commercial appeal if you made it a house/furniture pack, and then added more styles of beds, chairs, tables, desks, etc so that people could make an entire house scene. Then, all the models would have the same style and it would look really good. I would be willing to buy such a pack for $15-20 if I was working on something that required a furnished house scene, as long as there were a lot of varied models (you can just duplicate models and make slight variations to the size and texture/colors).
I hope that's helpful, obviously just my opinion.

Nice models, only two suggestions:
Its very unlikely that the grain of the boxes will be from the lower right to the upper left, usually they're vertically.
The same goes for the chair, the backrest wont't consist of several horizontal pieces, but one vertical.
Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.

the bands on the barrels stick out to much, apart from what old bill said they look pretty nice.

Well, the models qua form look great but their not that hardest to create but on the other hand, it's the texture quality that interests me Nice job there !! Cheers Frazzle
