Really useful. Any chance it will support MDL5? I ask because I opened a folder with some MDL5s in it and it gave me an error and closed.

Still, way cool!

MDL5 should be supportet.

What error do you get?
-Can you open the model with MED standalone?
-Can you open the model in a level/game (which 3gds version?)

I think that I found the reason for the error:

It doesn't tolerate names longer than this:

means 28 letters plus dot and ending of 3 letters.



BTW: in windowmode it still doesn't show more folders than 50 ...

If you are still loving to improve things in it:
Do you like to add that one can see the chosen mdl in different modes?
Maybe, stopping rotating, turning with mouse, scrolling through frames, see it with alpha and without alpha!

Anyway, don't feel forced to add such wishes, it is very generous contribution!

this is a bug in ent_create.
I will report it in the bugs area...

there is a limit of 1000 possible folders.
Can't validate the error with the 50 folders (checked it with >100)

I got the problem only, when starting the bat file, as I said: in window mode, when starting the exe, everything is okey.

These are minor issues as long as one knows the restrictions.

use dir >dirlist.txt /AD in a DOS-Box.

I tried it within different folders, and the same: from a certain point the following folders are not shown.

what's the total stringlength of the path?
are there special characters in the path?

It happens regardless of where I place the MDLviewer and regardless of the path's depth.
For instance, I put the viewer on D: and opened the same directory - no difference, some folders are always missed...
